Good to know
How much does a Jamaican police record cost?
The JCF's fee is paid to the government and is separate from our fee. All fees are in Jamaican dollars.
Our service fee is J$5,000 for local application prep, or US$100 for the overseas proxy service. An apostille is US$100 extra if you need one.
JCF fees last checked 3 October 2026. Verify on the JCF's portal
How do I track my police record application?
Use the JCF's Police Certificate Tracker. Enter your Entry number or your Application Reference, and your date of birth. Both numbers are in the confirmation email from the JCF.
If we applied for you and you do not have the numbers, ask us on WhatsApp.
Can I get a Jamaican police record if I live overseas?
Yes. Have your fingerprints taken on an official card by a recognised police station or law enforcement agency where you live. You do not need to travel to Jamaica.
Send us a scan first. Once we approve it, send the original card and documents with a prepaid, self-addressed DHL envelope, and track your package until it arrives. We complete your application, pay the JCF fee, submit everything at the Criminal Records Office in Kingston, collect the certificate, have it apostilled and send it back in your prepaid DHL envelope.
Plan for the full timeline: JCF processing (5 or 21 working days), then the apostille if you need one, then courier transit. We cannot guarantee delivery by a set date.
Do I need to send my original passport?
No. Overseas applicants send a notarised colour copy of their passport bio-data page with the original fingerprint card.
What do I bring to fingerprinting in Jamaica?
Bring your valid photo ID, your TRN and two uncertified passport photos on a plain background. The photos need no JP stamp.
Avoid a white shirt on a white background, and glare on glasses. You attend your JCF fingerprinting appointment in person.
Do I need an apostille to use the certificate abroad?
Many overseas employers and immigration offices require one. We take your certificate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade before sending it. It costs US$100 per document, plus the Ministry's own fee, and is added to our service fee.
Clients in Jamaica can add it too. Mention it when you start your request.
Are government fees refundable?
No. JCF and TAJ fees are non-refundable once processed. Our service fee is covered in our Terms & Conditions.
